So you just started your home based business... great! Working from home is a great way to be in charge of your own life and make the kind of money you've always dreamed of. One of the best things about owning your own business is you can work when you want to work and relax when you want to relax. However, one of the worst things about owning your own business is you can work when you want to work and relax when you want to relax. Confused? Let me explain. One of the number one reasons people fail in network marketing or MLM (or whatever you want to call it) is because many people don't want to treat it like a real business. It IS a real business!
If you owned a McDonalds but never bothered to come to work or hire employees you wouldn't make any money. In fact you'd be losing a LOT of money. Same is true with your business. Don't make the common mistake of investing in a business.. paying the monthly fees.. and then doing NOTHING to help it grow. Work your business like you would a "traditional" business and you'll see results much much faster!
Having set hours for working your business is a great way to start. It doesn't have to be 9-5 Monday through Friday, but it does have to be consistent. Sometimes you may have to miss your favorite TV show or forgo a night out with the guys/girls but it'll all be worth it in the end. So TiVo the show and call your friends to reschedule because when it's time to work, it's time to work! Trust me, your friends will understand when you're able to work your business on the beach somewhere and they're still stuck in their cubicles.
Don't be a secret agent!! I can not stress this enough! If you've got a business PROMOTE IT! Unless your last name is Bond and you happen to have a license to kill you need to let everyone you come into contact with know what you are doing for a living. And I mean everyone. Especially your friends and family. It's so sad when I see people spend hundreds of dollars on advertising for their new business but they won't share it with the people closest to them. If you believe in your business don't be ashamed of it.
My final advice is to dress for success, or fake it till you make it. No you don't have to run out and buy a $900 suit from Armani. Take the clothes you already have and make sure they look as nice as possible. Shine your shoes, wear your favorite tie, make sure your suit is well pressed and looks nice. Think about who you would want to be a business partner with. The guy with the wrinkled shirt who looks down at his shoes when he talks to you, or the guy who looks put together and talks with confidence? You don't have to drive a Benz or wear a Rolex to look confident and successful. Just be the most put together confident version of yourself you can possibly be and people will be drawn to you. After all, confidence is everyone's best accessory.
I hope you'll read these tips and take them to heart. If you do, and you're willing to work hard for as long as it takes, I know you'll find the success you want from your home based business. Remember that it's not going to be a sprint, it's a marathon baby. Nobody is perfect when they start out. Just develop simple disciplines and work on them everyday with consistency and you'll get to the end of the race with more confidence, time and money than you ever dreamed of.

Is it possible? Well if you believe the dozens of emails that we all seem to receive daily about these type at home programs.....then yes it is! Having grown sick of this SPAM I decided to go undercover and investigate these claims!
The results were really quite incredible!
Only 9% of the type at home programs offer real genuine info on how to make money online! (the vast majority are just re-hashed crap)
Over 85% of them are simply sales letters designed to scam you into buying their rubbish!
More than 2 thirds of the sites require you to pay extra to get their so-called "super secret personal info" that promises to make you a millionaire within a week. Of course we purchased this info, only to find that its re written trash that is availiable elsewhere for free!!
More than 92% never responded to our emails.........and that includes when we asked for refunds!!
Overall, we reckon 92% of them are total utter SCAMS! These sites have all been reported to the Better Business Bureau in the hope that the creators of these sites are forced to stop trading!
One of my 'favorite' (read, biggest scam) types were the type at home programs that claimed to provide free content! These are the ones you REALLY need to avoid! They will give you instant access to some very basic info that you could find for free with a 2 minute google search. Then they will spam the hell out of you in the hope that you purchase some high price crap off them on the back end!
We only found 1 type at home program that actually provided us with quality, exclusive and up to date info!

It's amazing, the American dream that is. How many have heard the saying - In America, the streets are paved with gold. Sure it's usually immigrants who are more familiar with this saying. And you might think that current Americans would know better to believe that making money in America is so easy but they do. Hundreds if not millions of people are waiting, just sitting around waiting for money to fall out of the sky. Or they believe that their big break is just around the corner. Even worst, all their hopes and dreams rest squarely on the chance that they pick the correct lucky numbers in the lotto.
I guess this is why most people love to watch shows like American Idol, it's even more shocking to see the contestants reaction when they realize that to win, you need more than just an opportunity and talent. Yes America is filled with people who have made it big with sheer dumb luck, or being in the right place at the right time. But nine times out of ten - people succeed because they take chances - correction - calculated risk. People who take calculated risk succeed because they plan, count all the factors, understand that there is room for failure - and learn from their mistakes. Luck is a factor in success, but even luck is some what calculated in the risk.
The reason people fail - is because they fail to plan. If you're waiting for the next big thing to fall onto your lap - get comfortable because it might be a very long wait. But if you want to succeed, in what ever it is that you have set your goal to be - work for it and take calculated risk. Plan, ask questions, do some research, talk to people who have success, learn from others mistakes and especially from your own mistakes. Oh, and learn a simple motto from President Roosevelt: "Never give up, never give up, never, never, never..."
One of the great things about this generation is that we have a world of free information at our disposal. We have the public library, mentors willing to share their knowledge, and most of all - the internet. But the reality is that the reason people don't succeed is because their afraid of work and the one's who work hard, do not realize that they are better off doing more than just working for someone else. It has taken the Hispanic community more than thirty years to realize that if they work together they can build more than what has taken America centuries to accomplish. Just look at china, considered a sleeping dragon no more. Now china holds in its hand the ability not just to be a super power but to influence the economy of the entire world.
So if you want to achieve your American dream - consider something's:
1- you need to work for it.
2-you need to learn more.
3- Find people to partner with or learn from.
4- Plan for your success risk is better managed as calculated risk.
5- Understand that failure is a part of success and you have to learn from it.
6- Learn the motto - Never give up, never, never, never.....
In closing - learn to adapt, just because you should "never give up" - it doesn't mean that you shouldn't be able to alter, change and correct anything in your plans or goal that is not working for you. Necessity is the mother of invention - the light bulb was not invented in a day.
